With the ever-increasing prices of food and other essentials, deep sigh, and as the value of the naira keeps declining, the gap between your needs and your ability to provide your needs continues to widen and the only way to solve this problem is to make more money. Here are some quick tips on how to make extra money this year.

Cashing in on Hobbies

One of the cheap ways to make extra income is to leverage those naturally occurring gifts, skills or talents that you have, hone and monetize them. For instance, you love to drive and you are yet to register on Bolt, uber or In-drive, well I think you were not informed. You can drive all day and make money all day.

Even when you commute to and from work, you can still make money to take care of your vehicle if you find people along your daily route who are willing to pay for your commuting service. If you love to play musical instruments or sing, and you are good enough why don’t you join a band or do a YouTube/ TikTok live, I even heard some churches will pay you if you offer them premium services.

The extra income might even come in USD, easing your cost of living in Nigeria. Remember, the path to financial prosperity need not be paved with tech jargon. Sometimes, it’s about leveraging what’s already within your reach.

Get a Second Job

Having more than one stream of income is a must to survive these hard times. You should consider getting a second job. If you have a white-collar job, your second job shouldn’t be a white-collar job, same applies to artisans, this is in a bid to avoid a clash of interests.
