Lekki Conservation Centre

The Lekki Conservation Centre is a nature reserve that’s home to over 78 different species of mammals, 300 species of birds, and over 350 species of butterflies. Located at Km 19 Lekki – Epe Expressway, Lekki Peninsula II, It’s one of the few protected areas left in Lagos, and it’s a haven for nature lovers. 

One of the highlights of the Lekki Conservation Centre is the Canopy Walkway, a long, elevated walkway that takes you through the treetops and offers a bird’s-eye view of the reserve. There’s also a treehouse where you can observe the wildlife from a different perspective. 

The nature trails are another popular attraction, offering the chance to explore the reserve on foot and observe the wildlife up close. And the educational center is a great place to learn about the different species that call the reserve home, as well as the work that’s being done to protect them. 

Terra Kulture

The center has a gallery, a bookshop, a restaurant, and a stage where regular cultural events are held. It’s a great place to learn more about Nigerian culture, and it’s also a beautiful space to relax and enjoy the art and performances. 

The art gallery at Terra Kulture showcases Nigerian artists from different parts of the country, and the work covers a wide range of styles and mediums. The bookshop carries a wide range of Nigerian literature, as well as books about Nigerian history and culture. 

The restaurant serves traditional Nigerian dishes. It’s a great place to try new flavors and learn about the culinary culture of Nigeria. And the stage hosts regular events like poetry readings, musical performances, and storytelling sessions.

The shrine hosts live music performances, workshops, and other events that celebrate the rich culture of Nigeria and Africa. It is a great place to experience the vibrant energy of Nigerian music and culture. 

The live performances are amazing, and they feature a range of genres like Afrobeat, jazz, and hip hop. The shrine also has a restaurant that serves delicious Nigerian food. And a marketplace where you can buy traditional crafts and souvenirs.

Tarkwa Bay

The people who live on the island are mostly members of the Badagry people, an indigenous group from the area.
